Morning Coffee With Myself | DAY 3: TODAY I AM…

Preparing mentally for the day and getting yourself to focus on what is important today is a vital morning exercise. Yes, we might have “that” day, when something unpredictable comes up and there might be distractions you didn’t wish for, but what about you and your needs? How do YOU feel and what do YOU want this day to be about?

Sit comfortably, eliminate possible distractions (like phone notifications, and noisy sounds from outside of your window), and think about what is on your plate today, what is expected of you, and what you expect of others.

Tune into yourself for a moment and finish the following sentences:

  • Today I am…
  • Today I feel…
  • Today I wish for…
  • Today what I really need is…
  • Today, acknowledging my needs and wishes, I am going to do the following…
